Calling all Fashionistas (fash’ion’is’ta = follower of fashion, somebody involved in the fashion industry.) This is the perfect time to say Cheers to all Fashionistas! Recently many of you are new to our monthly fashion blog; if you are on this private VIF (Very Important Fashionista) list, you are the one in the know and that is the best part about Serendipity’s fashion blog. Why? It’s Fashion week in NY, for Spring /Summer 2009. Stay tuned we’ll let you know all about it. We personally handpick each item to ensure that the items’ color, texture, style, and price are exactly what we want for women who have and/or want their fash-on all the time. We meet with designers, impressive forces who work behind the scenes, we are in constant continuing education and research to bring you the latest in trends, forecasts within the industry & accessory fashion tips.

So for now the Fall season has kicked off! To help you get started being envied for your fashion sense, here are some great mix & match accessory tips to help get you started looking ever so stylishly up dated:

• Always start with your lifestyle; it always dictates your fashion style.
• One simple trendy accessory is the easiest & most affordable way to up date anything – even decades old.
• Remember when wearing exotic accessories keep the clothing simple and tailored with like tones or monotones are always the right choice.
• Some key items to mix-it-up for the Fall 08 are: angel soft knits in lush size scarves, hoods, caps, gloves & even handbags – colorful leg wear in all textures & materials and funky prints (keep in mind when mixing prints keeps like colors together or minimal colors that compliment each other ex. navy, chocolate brown & dark olive green ) – oversize clutch in any material that you adore from python leather to cowhide – long chunky & funky expressive necklaces all layered up – distressed hardware can be found hooked up on just about any accessory (bold necklaces, wide cuff bracelets, huge earrings & yes worn all together)
• It’s all about layering this season both clothing and accessories, start thin from bottom up, your thickest or most bold should be layered last.
• You will not find too many black handbags this season it’s seems a little vanilla compared to the deep dark rich jewel tones like eggplant leather croco (my personal favorite & it goes with everything that black does and more).
