Essential Summer Accessories

Hello My Traveling Fashionistas!

Summer Solicits is upon us & with that comes the time of year to kick back, relax and lighten your load.  This week also kicks off summer vacation or even a simple             day-cation.  All week long here at Serendipity we have been assisting the “Traveler” in her accessory necessities for an easy relaxing trip.  I use the term “Traveler” quite strong, we prefer the term “traveler as opposed to the term “tourist”. A “Tourist” might resemble the person with a fanny pack (YIKES!), tube socks & chunky gym shoes, the giant camera hanging off the neck and probably some sort of ball cap that belongs in the ball park only. Simply voiding these few fashion mishaps you then become the”Traveler”; looking comfortable & cool in easy clothing a simple cotton sundress, a small preferably zip closure cross body bag to fit your smart phone which doubles as your camera & other basic essentials (travel size hand wipes, tissue, sunglasses, compact, lip gloss, I.D. & few bucks) and cute walking flats or neat walking sneaker- NOT a  chunky gym shoe. So weather traveling by land, air or sea here is a list & pics of on-the-go accessory essentials:

A large tote for all of your needs- ONLY TAKE WHAT YOU NEED FOR THE TRIP (I try to avoid using my work bag, otherwise I feel like I’m going to work), a small cross body bag with a zip closure for day and removable straps to double as clutch for evening, a light scarf for a chilly evening, an ensemble of jewelry in your favorite color for day (I love traveling with turquoise it goes with everything), long clear crystal earrings-bracelet-stretch ring for evening (again goes with everything), sunglasses, crushable & packable hat, a small foldable re-useable emergency tote and a cute headband for those out of control hair days.  YES all of these traveling essentials are available at Serendipity ” Accessories to express yourself” .

Happy Trails Traveler!!!!

XOXO Kim

  1. Kim and Pete,

I just had to write a “testimonial” of sorts after our shopping experience today.

Not only am I in love with your unique shop filled with one of a kind, on trend treasures, but with you guys as well! From our experience in high end boutiques, we usually get stuck up-snobby owners, that are just after a sell and do not genuinely help us. Not only did you genuinely sell us purchase a beautiful, quality pair of earrings that complimented my own style, but we were given the honest advice of fashion experts that left us confident and comfortable with our purchase and whats more, a genuine conversation, tips and a desire to return. You blog will be frequented often as well!

I personally love an emotional connection to my purchases and I was happy to have found that at Serendipity. Marlin has always been a harder customer to please and the fact that he even said he would be returning there and spending our hard earned money at Serendipity was worth it, is great for all of us and says a lot!

I have to say also, a salute to your inventory of quality and affordable options, I love the items you carry! While I may wear a lot of classic black and white combinations, I like to stand out as well with accessories that no one else has seen. I am so excited to return and see what other goodies I can add to my collection. Can I start a wish list to make it easier for Marlin? Haha

You guys really took the time to find out who we were, talk to us as friends and welcome us to an amazing city.

Kudos and thank again for everything, you really made our day!

    Heather (and Marlin)

  2. What a great blog post! It is always tricky packing for a get-away and you’ve included some really great tips, thank you!
